What starts off as a simple frogging expedition turns into the moment when Laura feels she’s s ready to kiss a boy. While practicing with the mirror up in the loft is one thing, Laura also inquires to Big Sister Mary and the opinion of someone who was recently married: Nellie Oleson. Laura also feels competition for her potential beau when a new kid shows up at school, showing off all the traits that Laura is now trying to conceal. In an attempt to take matters into her own hands, gravity proves to Laura there are somethings you just can't rush. Meanwhile, Charles and Jonathan Garvey have won a freighting competition and awarded a contract job. They soon realize money doesn't always make you happy...in fact it's sort of making them miserable. Did Doc Baker properly set Charles’ broken foot before putting a cast on it? How come Mrs. Simms was on screen and nobody called her Mrs. Simms....or even Miss Beadle for that matter? Caroline has spent plenty of time at the little house with Charles gone on long stretches, Why is this time different for her?
