The Last of Us HBO Trailer & Metacritic Draft | Triangle Squared: A PlayStation Podcast Ep. 278
The Last of Us Day, previously known as Outbreak Day, brought with it a full trailer for the HBO adaptation of the game, finally allowing us a good look at multiple characters outside of Joel and Ellie, such as Nick Offerman's Bill. With the show choosing to follow the same story of the game, we share our thoughts on the positives and negatives of adaptations of games following their source material versus creating new journey's in worlds in which we are already familiar and how those two might come together in The Last of Us' TV show. On top of that, we talk the Rockstar hacker getting his just desserts, Overwatch 2's decision to lock aspects of the game behind a "play"-wall and whether that will lead to a pay for convenience option, check in on the Community's thoughts on leaks and how it impacts them, and Chris brings the idea of a Metacritic Draft for 2023 releases to the table, forcing us to narrow down 13 games each in an effort to not be the one paying one lucky Patron a crisp $100 once it's all done.
