Diana Hylton shares from 'Both sides of the Track'
Diana Hylton is an independent social worker. She is the founder and director of AnAID Empowerment which provides a range of social work services across the UK. She has twenty years experience of working with vulnerable children and their families. Seventeen of those years have been spent working within challenging and diverse local authorities. Diana is a qualified practice educator and has supported numerous social work students through their training and into the profession. She is an expert within her field and is passionate about child protection and supporting families.
In her debut book, Both Sides of The Track, a memoir, Diana tells of her experiences of being on both sides of the care system. In this, she demonstrates her purpose and mission which is to support, empower, motivate, and inspire, particularly those who have experienced trauma and adversity, so that progress and positive sustainable changes can be made.
In today's episode she shares a little of her professional and personal experiences, she shares her passion for social work, her resilience and how she has come through adversity to be who she is today.
