Modesty, Humility & Self-Appreciation

Many of us have a habit of putting ourselves down.  And we find it uncomfortable to receive appreciative feedback.  

Over here in the UK this is a cultural norm for sure.  I like to challenge this norm.  I don’t think it’s altogether healthy.

Equally - there are locations where the cultural norm is to ‘big ourselves up’.  To present ourselves as bigger and better that we actually perceive ourselves to be.  Just as unhealthy in my opinion.  

In this episode we explore some of the reasons why we may be overly modest or overly self-satisfied and how these tendencies may become a problem for us as people and as leaders.  

We explore how we might unravel any tendency to perceive and present ourselves inauthentically in this regard, and why this is all quite important.
