Federal Court Pauses Release Of Trump Documents
In a last ditch effort to prevent the release of hundreds of personal documents, former President Trump won a temporary pause on releasing White House records to the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. The injunction is to protect the court's jurisdiction to address appellant's claims of executive privilege and should not be construed as a ruling on merit.
The defense has rested their case today in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, a teenager faced with several charges of homicide in 2020 following social unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Closing arguments are expected early next week.
