House GOP Meeting To Vote On Rep. Cheney After Impeachment Vote
The House GOP has met to discuss a vote about Rep. Cheney. A vote on Cheney's fate could come tonight and a vote on Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene could come tomorrow.
McCarthy punts on punishing Qanon-Aligned Rep. Greene for her rhetoric and attacks Democrats instead, as Greene says, "I don't think I have anything to apologize for." Greene also says, "I'm going to push the [GOP] party to the right." Greene says that McCarthy and other GOP leaders prove that they are "all talk and not about action."
A source says that a pro-Trump attorney who pushed the idea of election fraud, from the presidential election, is now under investigation over whether he voted illegally.
Republicans direct ire at Rep. Liz Cheney's vote to impeach former President Donald Trump as they describe her as "comfort[ing] the enemy," while Qanon-Aligned Rep. Greene appears to get a pass on unearthed past comments. Cheney could be punished tonight for voting to impeach Trump as Republicans compares Cheney to a "girlfriend in the opposing team's stands."
DOJ has charged two prominent Proud Boys in connection to the January 6 Capitol riot, while at least nine other group members have already been charged. A Capitol rioter has asked a judge to let her visit Mexico for vacation, as another judge orders "Qanon Shaman" should be given organic food in jail.
