Late on Wednesday, the World Health Organisation issued an alert that four “contaminated” medicines manufactured by Maiden Pharmaceuticals – an Indian company -- have been “potentially linked” to the death of 66 children in the Gambia. The WHO and the Indian government have launched investigations.
