The Dow plunges amid new recession fears triggered by economic worries overseas and a big warning sign in the U.S. bond market. Plus, several Democrats running for President are being urged to run for Senate instead. Colorado's John Hickenlooper is thinking about it, but Beto O'Rourke insists he's still focused on the White House. And Congress and the White House are in serious talks about new gun control legislation -- with expanded background checks atop the list. But there is deep skepticism there will be a bipartisan agreement even on that narrow issue -- never mind other ideas pushed by Democrats.
