Wisconsin Certifies Biden's Win after Recount Trump Campaign Requested and Paid $3 Million For, Net's Biden 87 More Votes
The state of Wisconsin has certified President-elect Joe Biden's victory after President Donald Trump's campaign requested a recount. Monday, Governor Tony Evers signed paperwork to award the state's 10 electoral votes to the President-elect after a recount in Wisconsin's two most populous counties.
The recount that cost $3 million netted Biden 87 more votes than before. The state's commission chairwoman wrote in part, "Biden received the greatest number of votes."
Arizona also officially certified Biden's victory on Monday, awarding the President-elect the state's 11 electoral votes. The recounts follow President Donald Trump's false claims of voter fraud. He has not yet conceded the election and still claims he won.
Top Republican leaders, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, still refuse to acknowledge Biden's Win.
