Fauci: "We Do Have A Serious Situation Right Now"
United States coronavirus cases top 3.5 million and United States coronavirus deaths surpass 138,000. 39 states are seeing a rise in cases in the past week. Texas reports a record number of coronavirus deaths and more than 10,000 new cases. Florida reports record deaths as well and Miami hospitals are at 95 percent capacity.
Fauci says that "we do have a serious situation right now" and that "we need to address" the increasing coronavirus cases in southern states. He also says that public health measures are a "gateway" to opening the country again, not an obstacle.

A CDC study suggests that Trump's travel bans on China and Europe came too late to stop the coronavirus from reaching New York City, despite his claims that he acted "very early."
