I may be preaching to some past experiences and I could have definitely used these tips years ago! I definitely got carried away talking and talking without those pauses.

 

So you are not alone and you get better with practice. I deliver a little over 5 tips to really help you be the best podcast guest and help create a better show!

Breathe, go slower, take pauses

Research the podcast, the style, show, and know what to expect

 

Stop Being a Narcissist on someone else’s show - there’s a time to sell and it’s not the whole show! Allow all the people on the show to talk equally or share the mic based on the style of the podcast.

Give flowers to the interviewer, show praise, talk about their podcast, pump them up, show your appreciation.
