Did you grow up in church? In your church do they have "altar calls" "invitations" or "draw the net Sundays?" Maybe you are familiar with hearing about the sinner's prayer where you "ask Jesus into your heart?" Did you know the term "altar call" was first used only in the 20th century? These are all common traditions that many are familiar with but are they biblical? What is the historical practice of these traditions? Did Jesus have an altar call or lead people in the sinner's prayer? In this podcast, Ethan Jago and special guest Peter Goeman discuss these commonly practiced traditions and look at the historical roots and biblical precedence and how and when they began. There were some minor audio issues creating a few minor pauses and breaks in dictation. Enjoy!
