Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants Battling Atop the NFC, New York Yankees Force Game 5
The New York Giants are second place in the NFC after a 5-1 start to the year, behind just the NFC East Division rivals 6-0 Philadelphia Eagles after a win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon. The New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians are headed to game five of the ALDS following a 4-2 Yankees win Sunday night. The Tennessee Volunteers are 6-0 to start the year after beating the Alabama Crimson Tide 52-49, if the season ended today, the Tennessee Volunteers would be in the College Football Playoff. The Buffalo Bills beat the Kansas City Chiefs to reclaim the #1 seed in the AFC as Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes once again went down to the wire. The Minnesota Vikings and Kirk Cousins are 5-1, on top of the NFC North heading into their bye week. The Golden State Warriors have re-signed Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins to four year contract extensions. The Miami Dolphins have now started Tua Tagovailoa, Teddy Bridgewater, and Skylar Thompson this season - all of whom have left games due to injury. Robbie Anderson may have played his last game with the Carolina Panthers following an incident that saw him arguing with Joe Dailey.
