For our 106th episode we bring you the inaugural episode of a new subseries called “Screened Plays,” in which we review films that have been adapted from stage plays. For our debut episode of Screened Plays, we review The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021), based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth, directed by Joel Cohen, and starring Denzel Washington in the title role with Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth.
