On this episode I tell the tale of The Freedom Riders, happening in 1961 it involved African Americans and Whites who took a ride on a bus, sounds simple , everyday task right? Except this ride had segregation laws broken and tested. Mobs of KKK members would swarm bus terminals, slashing tyres, beating riders and throwing fire bombs. It was a HUGE step forward in the civil rights movement and brought the issue of racism to the international stage. Riders were determinate to make a difference, to have change and once and for all to a united world not divided.....
