On today’s show, Dane is joined by Chris Hine of the Star Tribune to discuss what has transpired through the first three games of the season for the Timberwolves, and what stood out specifically in Sunday’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Before Chris joins, the episode starts with a film review of Jaylen Nowell’s first three games of the season. Nowell’s role has changed this year, and because of that we are beginning to get a better idea of where Nowell helps most.
After that, extending on the Nowell conversation, Dane and Chris get into the 5-man, small-ball lineup, that included Nowell, that won the game for the Wolves in the fourth quarter against Oklahoma City. The chemistry of that group stands out juxtaposed against the chemistry of the starters — and Dane and Chris discuss why that might be, including audio from Chris Finch and a few players who give their take on what is and is not working.
