Discipleship Handbook Week 7 - The New Life of the Believer
Last week we looked at our new identity as children of God. However, even with a new nature and identity, we will still battle against sin and our “old nature.” A work of change and transformation (called sanctification) needs to be done where we become more and more like Jesus, and this is a lifelong process.
God begins a good work in us that we are called to participate in through the submission of our will with His. He empowers and sustains us with His Spirit and grace, and calls us to cooperate with Him in this transformation work. This week on "Table Forty, Matt and Leslee Holliday explore what a new life for a believer looks like.
This is Week 7 of a study through "Discipleship Handbook," a 10-week plan from The Increase that examines some of the most important topics encompassing what it looks like to be a disciple of Jesus.
