This is a controversial topic to discuss. The world is full of diversity. So, one diet cannot work for everyone.
I take a look at Rick Rubin (legendary record producer) and the misinformation that led him to being obese (over 300 pounds) from a supposedly healthy diet! He even had a DR. live with him for 2 years to monitor his food & exercise. IT DID NOT WORK! Most doctors are not schooled in nutrition and exercise. Yet most people would think this is the way to health. Doctors prescribe drugs & surgeries. Not an absolute evil, many times these can be life saving. But for nutrition and physical well being avoid doctors!
Rick did find the help he needed. It worked & he lost over 100 pounds! You too can find the right diet. If a super complicated diet has components you just will not adhere to long term...well it won't work for you. So, I'm discussing dietary changes you can make that will stick. Because a diet is really a lifestyle change. Consciously choosing foods you will eat that are healthy. Start slowly replacing things that are unhealthy with something better. Little by little. You build on success and change more. This is what makes long lasting change stick.
The crash diet 99% of the time works short term, then there is a rebound back to where you started...or worse!
