The Sierra Sounds - Ron Moorehead & Scott Nelson - 2015-10-07 - Midnight in the Desert

after seeing discussion of the sierra sounds pop up on reddit this week i thought this would be a fun october upload despite being a bit of a clip show - in 1971 skeptical reporter al berry and his friend ron moorehead were setting up camp between lake tahoe and yosemite national park while doing a story about sasquatch. they woke up that night to some unintelligible cries coming from the woods, which they recorded after realizing they were communicating with each other. these tapes later became known as "the samurai sounds" or "the Sierra sounds"
