Therapist, Foster Parent, & founder of Grey Muzzle Manor Sanctuary Marcy Tocker
A clinical mental health professional, residing in Mohrsville, Pennsylvania, She graduated with her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University in 2018. She became intrigued in equine assisted psychotherapy at the age of 19 through interactions with her very special mare and best friend, Fancy. She remembers thinking, “everyone has to know what horses can do.” She has been certified in the EAGALA model since 2016, and is a client-centered, trauma informed, therapist who specializes in impulse control disorders, attachment disorders, LGBTQ+ youth, foster care and adoption, and trauma. She also utilizes expressive art therapy, play therapy, and attachment based trauma play therapy. She utilizes her farm in its entirety in therapy sessions. She is accompanied in all sessions by therapy dog and legend in his own mind, Emmett.
She is the founder of Grey Muzzle Manor Sanctuary, Inc. which is a nonprofit organization that provides senior animal rescue and hospice care, and community outreach programs to help people and pets stay together. Grey Muzzle Manor is also a certified Stable Moments location which is a mentorship program utilizing equine assisted learning for children who were adopted or in foster care. Most recently, Grey Muzzle Manor launched its newest program, A New Dawn, offering therapeutic riding and Hippotherapy through Natural Horsemanship. Grey Muzzle Manor Sanctuary, Inc. is based upon a platform of acceptance, non-judgement, and presence.
At Grey Muzzle Manor, animals and people heal together. She has previously worked in animal welfare and child welfare organizations, and is also a foster parent, currently to two children. She enjoys being outside, riding, anything creative or involving play, puzzles, and Legos.
