Shaedon Sharpe is going to be good. Probably very good. Maybe great. In his first NBA start the Portland Trail Blazers rookie gave fans plenty to be excited about with a few show stopping highlight dunks and a couple smooth-as-butter pull up jumpers. He's 19. He's going to be good.
In the second segment I continue my quest to get to know Sharpe better. He's a quiet kid who is a apparently funny and well liked behind the scenes. While his game is loud his demeanor couldn't be more opposed. Which is why I set out to ask Chauncey Billups what it has been like to coach the teenager for last few months. Plus, a couple anecdotes about watching Sharpe learn the NBA game in real time. He's going to be good.
The third segment is news and notes. Jusuf Nurkic was really good in this game and dominated a team couldn't match up with his size. That's a good sign. Anfernee Simons was awesome but his weaknesses were on display late against Houston. The difference between good and great is right there for Simons. Plus Josh Hart is in the concussion protocol.
