Episode 65: Brian Austin Beast Mode Archery Challenge

Let me make a couple things clear from the start. I am not a fitness guy and have never hunted the Western states where being in tip to shape is a requirement to stack the odds in your favor. Blessed to own 160 acres here in central Wisconsin, a quarter mile walk on flat ground to an elevated box blind is my preferred method of hunting and, good or bad, I seldom break a sweat unless I overdress .

My friend Brian Austin would be the polar opposite of that. A saddle hunter and two legged mountain goat residing in southern Wisconsin, his Instagram page is a bit more entertaining to the hunting public than mine each fall. That said, I have a great deal of respect for Brian, owner of GFB (Get Fit w/Brian) Outdoors, and appreciate anyone who shares their passions to bring newcomers into the sport. Austin is doing just that and more with his Beast Mode Archery Challenges and has built a big following in a short amount of time. Hosting both indoor and outdoor events, the worlds of cross fit and archery collide several times a year across The Badger State thanks to the personal fitness trainer and his growing team of volunteers.

He and I have talked for awhile about collaborating on an event together and that will finally become a reality next spring. We don't let the entire cat out of the bag on the episode but give our listeners enough to peak their interest with full details coming in December.  Mission 24 of The HHAUSA Archery Shoot Series will be held April 29th and 30th south of Madison Wisconsin and is going to be the biggest event in our history. A two day archery shoot, one day sporting clay shoot and an all-new endurance event from Beast Mode will provide a little something for everyone. Vortex Optics will also be hosting a private event for 222 Veterans and First Responders. We are beyond excited to bring to launch what will hopefully be an annual get together and offer and unforgettable experience for everyone who participates.
