Cat and Carson sit down to recount the blood, gut, and glory of the Puerto Vallarta 100 miler (180 kilometers) by the UTMB world series. Cat set out looking for redemption after her DNF in Europe earlier this summer and to qualify for a spot in the 2023 UTMB with a podium finish, and Carson was along for the adventure. What they expected to be a fast, 18-22 hour finish turned into a 36-hour vision quest for both runner and crew. Cat ventured six miles off course and was greeted back on course by a puma. Carson put the rental car through the wringer on rugged backcountry roads and a stream crossing or two. Tune in to hear how Cat and Carson survived their trek through Mexico.
