Guests School Us on the Whys and Hows of Homeschooling
In this episode, two mothers who are new to homeschooling discuss why they decided to do so, what that transition looked like, and how going from public school to homeschool is impacting their children, as well as sharing both the joys and challenges of this experience. As a special treat, we get to hear from one of the children herself, who is 12 years old. In addition, a veteran homeschooling mom shares with us why, "for the most part," she is "very unhappy with public schools" and why and how she embraced teaching her own children. She also schools us on how she has made education at home work for her family, individualizing the experience for the well-being of each of her children.
This episode delves into topics such as stigmas attached to homeschooling, the rights of these students, socialization, and so much more. Whether you're a parent, a student, a teacher, a school board member, or just someone who cares about education and kids, I encourage you to listen to "Guests Dive Deep into the Whys and Hows of Homeschooling."
