Short track oval racing is really a regional thing, with the smaller tracks scattered across the country, particularly the south.  Now we are not talking dirt track, which is a different setup and driving style - we are talking asphalt short track racing.
 
Our friend of the show, Rodney Rodriguez, is very knowledgeable and involved in the sport.  In addition to being one of the most requested track announcers, he has shared his knowledge as a consultant on several documentaries about racing.  Rodney joins us on this episode of In Wheel Time Car Talk with a wrap of some of the championships and a look at what happens in the off-season.
