The Portland Trail Blazers improved to 5-1 on the road with a 105-95 win over the Hornets in Charlotte. Damian Lillard scored 26, Shaedon Sharpe added a career-high 17 as Portland improved to 8-3.
Youth as on display for the the Blazers who played without Jusuf Nurkic and Jerami Grant and had to ride rookies Sharpe and Jabari Walker for extended minutes. It was a testament to Portland's present competence and potential for a special future.
The third segment is all about sustainability and why the Blazers 8-3 start seems like the real deal. This team is good.
