CAROL WILLIAMS WAS A MAIN ANCHOR AND REPORTER AT WCPO-TV
FOR OVER 30 YEARS, STARTING IN 1986. SHE WAS THE FIRST WOMAN TO ANCHOR THE NEWS AT 11 AT THE STATION. SHE ANCHORED AT 5, 6
AND 11 FROM 1986 UNTIL SHE RETIRED IN 2017.
DURING THAT TIME, CAROL INTERVIEWED PRESIDENTS CLINTON AND OBAMA, OPRAH WINFREY AND HOUSE SPEAKER JOHN BOEHNER. SHE COVERED THE BENGALS’ TRIP TO THE SUPERBOWL, THE BEARCATS’ TRIP TO THE
FINAL FOUR, POLITICAL CONVENTIONS AND PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES.
SINCE RETIRING FROM NEWS, CAROL HAS ENJOYED A VARIETY OF ENDEAVORS, INCLUDING TRAVELING CROSS-COUNTRY WITH HER DAUGHTER, TEACHING BROADCAST WRITING AT U.C., TAKING IMPROV, TUTORING AT CINCINNATI PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND BEING ON THE BOARD OF THE LITERACY NETWORK. AND AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF WORKING AT 11, SHE HAS ESPECIALLY ENJOYED HAVING DINNER WITH HER HUSBAND AT NIGHT!
