Better data, training, hiring processes are key to cyber workforce strategy, groups say

There are a lot of ideas for how the White House National Cyber Director’s forthcoming workforce strategy could help address a nationwide cyber talent shortage. The office issued a request for information on cyber workforce, training and education last month. The window for submitting a response closed Nov. 3. For federal agencies, the challenge is especially acute as they struggle to compete with private sector salaries and job flexibilities.
