Collectives and Cooperatives with Justine McFarland and Jill Shea
Today we talking about cooperatives and collectives with two guests that represent a growing segment in our flower farming communities. We’re excited to have Jill Shea of the Connecticut Flower Collective and Justine McFarland of the River City Flower Exchange this week on the podcast. Both manage two different models where farmers are working together to reach their community and area with the flowers they grow. Both Jill and Justine share a their experiences and thoughts for those of you interested in starting a co-op or similar type of model, plus I think if you’re a florist it might give you some insight into how we can help support our flower farmers.
