He emphasizes the importance of finding a mentor and how necessary it is to have someone to lead you. Having these relationships helped put his mind at ease and aided him in navigating some of the difficulties in his field, particularly, how it is difficult to still function as a business, considering the nature of the job. 

 In recent years there has been a boom of people seeking to improve their mental health, Dr. Ritch attests to and specifies that specifically black men come to him for aid and navigating relationships and developing emotionally. He explains that, after entering a long-term romantic relationship, the majority of men do not maintain their social relationships the way women do, which greatly impacts their mental health.
