Episode 203 - Cook with This Oil for Optimal Health!
This week I discuss the importance of cooking for yourself and how using coconut oil can go a long way in creating optimal health.
Avoid cooking in PUFA's (canola, sunflower, corn and soy oils) and use a stable saturated fat like coconut oil. Here are some reasons why:
- Has strong anti-fungal and antiseptic effects
- May strengthen immune system
- Doesn't interfere with the oxidation of carbs and can provide energy when cellular function is compromised
- Has antioxidant properties
- Protects cells against energy failure or toxic insult
- Stimulates metabolic rate and supports thyroid function
