Episode 44 with Julie Uhernik.
"I've spent so many years researching what is wrong with me — I call it 'me-search.'"
Julie is an insurance agent who was diagnosed during the pandemic after an abrupt pivot in her career path left her feeling out-of-sorts.
She is a self-proclaimed clumsy, spontaneous, child-like lover of life - who is still trying to understand how a late diagnosis of ADHD may have affected her whole life.
She is a life-long learner and collector of credentials. She is a certified life coach through the Certified Coaches Alliance, Certified Canfield Trainer in the Success Principals, Certified Medicaid Planner (CMP), has a bachelor’s degree in business management, and is currently practicing as a licensed insurance agent.
She is a wife, mother, grandmother and is completely obsessed with horror movies, theme parks, and animals.
Julie is a listener of this podcast who reached out to me to share her story because, even though not many people in her life know about her diagnosis — including her own husband — she has benefited so much in her own life from hearing these interviews.
We talk all about some of the stigmas that surround ADHD and mental health in general and why, event though this diagnosis is often life-changing for us, coming out of the ADHD closet poses a lot of challenges for many of us.
Julie was an absolute pleasure to interview and I know many of you are going to relate so much of her story — I certainly did.
