The Goddess, The Witch & The Womb
Religion & Spirituality:Spirituality
The Triple Goddess was known to the ancient Celts as the Morrigan. She was a member of the Tuatha Dé Danaan, the fairy people of ancient Ireland. Has the archetype of the Maiden, Mother, and Crone been fragmented by the patriarchy? At one point the patriarchy tried to separate the Morrigan into three aspects, like the Gorgons.
The Morrigan was a goddess of protection and was called in before each battle. There are stories of the Morrigan running ahead of the wars, naked in front of all of the men and covered in blue power symbol paint. She runs toward her enemies and at the last moment, shape shifts into a raven and circles the battle ground to watch for the dead.
Find out how to work with the Morrigan on your altar and discover your inner triple goddess!
