There was a time when film journalists were the only window into the lives of entertainers - legendary interviews dot the archive pages of everything from Esquire and Variety, to Filmfare & Stardust. With social media though, times have changed drastically - Instagram is fast replacing page 3, Twitter is fast replacing the sought after movie star quote. There is more knowhow around PR as well, and PR agencies have great control over narratives. There is simultaneously a lot of celebrity content, yet we're still seeking authenticity from our stars. What does this mean for the journalist, and for the agency?
