Newly Discovered Peptide Associated With Alzheimer's Disease - Prof Pinchas Cohen Ep3
In this episode Dr Cohen talks about SHMOOZE a new MDP that his lab has discovered and recently published a paper on. He also discusses SNPs, mutations in the MOTS-c and Humanin genome which impacts their peptides with knock on effects on diabetes and cognitive decline.
Professor Pinchas Cohen is the dean of the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. He is a pioneer in the emerging science of mitochondria-derived peptides and their possible therapeutic benefits for diabetes, Alzheimer's and other diseases of aging, an area which remains the focus of his current research.
