11/26/2022 Courageous Christianity with Richard Mendelow "Giving Thanks"
How can we be more like the settlers who, with God’s help, carved this nation out of a hostile wilderness? How can we fill the holiday season with gratitude, goodwill, and good works? And how can we begin to shape a happy and prosperous new year? In this episode of Courageous Christianity on the weekend after the Thanksgiving holiday, host Richard Mendelow and his wingman Christy Mendelow tackle the subject of gratitude as the foundation of everything good. Beginning with a discussion of brain science, they delve into the full work of gratitude in our lives. And in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, they look at the faith of the Pilgrims who settled in Plymouth after their long and arduous journey on the Mayflower. Though they endured hardships unimaginable to us today, in sickness, starvation, and death, they never ceased giving thanks to God. Their faith gave birth to our nation and our faith can heal our nation. Gratitude in all things is the key. We can reshape our perspectives. Listen to find out how.
