This episode has unexpected heroes and unexpected quarrels. Perrin is in his room preparing for his departure to the Two Rivers before he’s visited by two women, each wanting something different from him. Faile is off to give Berelain a piece of her mind and perhaps a knuckle sandwich… Mat has decided that he needs to go through the Red stone doorway in the Great Holding. While Elayne’s preparing to leave Tear with Egwene and Nyneave, they are interrupted by a stone-faced warder with a soft spot for Nyneave. And Thom has been doing his best to perform double duty as he has been wandering the halls of the Stone with a song to sing and gossip to spread.
