In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan is once again joined by Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington as they talk about the Capitals game Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks. They talk about how it felt like that was one of the first games where the Capitals played as a team and the first time in a while that were engaged for a complete game. The Capitals take on the Seattle Kraken next the Kraken who have won six in a row and are in second place in the pacific will be formidable opponent and a true test of this Capitals team.
Later in the show they talk about the historic night for Alex Ovechkin as he continues to crush records on a consistent basis. Ovechkin beat Wayne Gretzky's road game goal record when he scored his 403 goal Tuesday night. Ovi is now seven goals from 800, nine from passing Gordie Howe for second all-time and 102 away from breaking Gretzky’s all-time scoring record. He also has four goals in his last four games.
In the last segment they talk about any potential trades that the Capitals might need to make. Dimitry Orlov is the next scheduled to come back and it's in Dans belief that after he return GM Brian Maclellan should look at the lineup and see what changes need to be made before too much of the season gets away from them.
