In this episode…The food quality of a typical American diet is grounds for health concerns. We are getting a lot of high fructose corn syrup and sodas, which makes our fat cells very plump and impacts how our pancreas makes insulin and how our body stores fat.
These days, we’re much more sedentary, and our energy, carbohydrates, and glucose exceed what we can fit into our cells. Instead of pushing glucose into muscles, which happens in an active state, we’re pushing it all into our fat cells. We're also beginning to store this fat around our liver and kidneys. More concerning is that we are seeing this in children as well. So what can we do?
