They say there are two certainties in life: death and taxes. Both can be painful, but dealing with grief and loss, especially during the festive season, can be an emotional rollercoaster. It’s why we’re shining a light on Grief Awareness Week (2-8 December), which aims to open up the conversation around bereavement, and are sitting down for a chat with grief recovery specialist Liz Tayor.
As a society, we tend to shy away from talking about the inevitable, wrapping up death in phrases like ‘passed away’, ‘at peace’ or ‘rest in power’. But normalising the conversation around loss of all kinds is Liz’s superpower, and she’s here to provide some tools to help you deal with loss, as well as offer advice on how to support someone going through grief and bereavement.
