This Week’s Happy Hour Special:
Vanilla Chai White Russian (From Half-Baked Harvest)
· 2 ounces vodka
· 1 1/2 ounces Kahlua
· 2 ounces vanilla chai syrup (see recipe below)
· 1–2 ounces heavy cream
· 1 cinnamon stick (for garnish)
Fill a glass with ice. Add vodka, Kahlua and vanilla chai syrup. Give it a gentle stir. Add the heavy cream. Give it one more gentle stir. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy your cup of Christmas cheer!
Vanilla Chai Syrup
· 4 chai tea bags
· 1/3 cup honey
· 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
· 1 cup water
Bring water to a boil. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and let steep for 10 minutes. Pull those tea bags out and pour in the honey. Bring the new honey-tea mixture to a boil on high heat for 3–5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and let it cool.
