Ellen Parker is an award winning female leader and an active volunteer serving on a variety of Boards and Committees. She is a recipient of the Lieutenant Governor's Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Medal for volunteerism, a Calgary Top 40 Under 40 and a recipient of the Mayors' Excellence Award.
Ellen is the founder and CEO of PARKER PR and PARKER Media, a public relations firm and media firm based in Calgary, with clients across Canada. She has a proven track record of strong leadership and helping businesses thrive through creating and implementing thoughtful communications strategies.
Prior to founding PARKER PR, Ellen worked in New York City for the Institute for Children and Poverty and for boutique PR firms. Ellen has worked for the Alberta Government, Word Fest: Banff Calgary International Writers Festival, the Calgary Food Bank and the Calgary
Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ellen is the Chair of the Hillhurst Community School Council Board of Directors, a Director on the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation Board of Trustees, a Corporate Board Director for CH Financial and a Board Director for the Ranchmen's Club, as well as a Committee Member for the Mount Royal University Public Relations Advisory and a Committee Member for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Society's Ad Astra Campaign.
