Tay was born and raised in Hawaii. Tay's drinking and meth use started at a young age. By 17 she moved to the west coast with her boyfriend and things got worse. Finally she moved back to Hawaii where she entered into an abusive relationship with a drug dealer and found herself single and pregnant. Her son is now a teenager and Tay has been sober for almost 60 days after 20 years of daily drinking.
Tay’s purpose for being here today is to share her story. She’s had lots of rock bottoms that didn't stop her from drinking, and simply put she finally had enough of her own BS.
Tay Danielle is in the thick of it, which I absolutely LOVE. Sometimes I feel our representation of individuals who are newly sober or early on their journey is underrepresented and I’m so grateful Tay is here today, while she sits in an incredibly vulnerable place to share here story in an effort to create survival guides from our collective stories.
