Lessons From Over 100 FKTs and Overcoming Setbacks with Jason Hardrath
Achieving any FKT (fastest known time) is an impressive feat on its own. But what about completing over 100 of them over the span of a career? Not only is that feat impressive, but it also requires an extraordinary amount of mental toughness to make that happen.
Today’s guest certainly has that level of mental strength, as he’s completed over 100 FKTs in his lifetime, including the Norman’s 13, Grand Canyon R2R2R-alt, Mt. Rainier and tons of other legendary trails. And our guest today is the amazing Jason Hardrath!
Jason Hardrath is an endurance athlete who specializes in mountain climbing, FKTs, and long distance hiking. Years ago, he was in a tragic car crash that nearly ended his athletic career. But through his determination and desire to keep going, he found a way to rebuild his mind, body, and spirit to set out on taking on as many FKTs as possible.
In this episode, Jason breaks down how he was able to overcome massive setbacks (like his car crash) in his life to continue to do what he loves, his strategy for taking on FKTs and endurance challenges, and the biggest lessons he’s learned from his FKT attempts to help you be a better endurance athlete.
Huge thank you to Jason for making this happen!
