In this episode, Emily talks about self-acceptance, acknowledging our fears, and stealing back our confidence. Our confidence gets stolen when we are busy trying to fit in, measure up, and be sure that others' perceptions of us are good. Do not let the shame or fear attached to people pleasing make a statement about your worth or value.
Emily teaches us that self-acceptance acknowledges all of our traits. Self-acceptance is to accept all parts, even the less-than qualities. Our core need is to want to be accepted and fit in. We can meet our core needs by being mindful of how we meet them.
We can be authentically ourselves and attract those who will value us for who we are and repel those that won't.
