Episode 43: Christmas Traditions with Manny Hernandez, Daniel Calderón + Sarah Schalow
Good tidings to you and yours! During this week of Christmas, we have another lighthearted and fun Christmas episode to share with you. Our host Sarah Schalow is joined by her friends (and co-workers) Manny Hernandez and Daniel Calderón to discuss Christmas traditions. The episode begins with Sarah and the guys discussing their own Christmas traditions and then moves into discussing traditions that exist across the United States, from the East Coast, the South, the Midwest and the West Coast. Today (December 21st) also happens to be Manny's birthday which is recognized in the episode too!
You will quickly find out that there are a lot of superstitions and even history associated with Christmas traditions. You'll learn about the origins of the Christmas pickle ornament, a camel named Aladdin owned by a former U.S. President, massive bonfires to help Papa Noel find his way, eating codfish soaked in what seems to be deadly chemicals, Santa rappelling down a mountain and so much more (seriously, Sarah and the guys cover a lot). We hope that with just four days left until Christmas that this episode makes you laugh and inspires traditions that you can share with your family and friends.
