This episode features Jeremiah Galyon who has long been into athletics and outdoor recreation, including mountainous ultra marathons. However, one day after surfing for 90-minutes in Hawai'i he suffered a severe heart attack in which there was a 100% blockage in his heart. His odds of survival weren't probable given that his blocked heart required several resuscitations and cumulatively left him without a pulse for 1-hour and 58-minutes. Craziness. To work on his heart, the doctors put him in a coma. His family and friends remained hopeful and...he miraculously survived. Incredible. The doctors even cried tears of joy when Jeremiah came out of the coma and showed healthy signs of life. Jeremiah is back to running ultra marathons and working at his surf shop (Sonlight Surf Shop in Pacifica California), but most importantly he loves spending every moment he can with his family. I love how much his guy loves life!
