Women in Music. We all know about the superstars. Taylor Swift, LeAnn Rimes, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Carrie Underwood. We see them every day in the news and on the charts. But how did they get there? What did they have to sacrifice to make it in what is considered by many to be a male dominated business?

 

Jana Jones Uttz who is an industry consultant, and vocal coach based out of Nashville TN, joins us in the studio to discuss the perils and pitfalls that so many women find when entering the music business. This frank discussion provides some insight as to what it takes, how to navigate the waters of the entertainment industry, and what to be on the lookout for.
