Although ADHDers often feel restless and impatient, there are a few things that we may need to do more to stay healthy for ourselves and the people around us. As you start making plans, set small, realistic goals that support your larger life vision, and remember to take care of yourself. The new year could be an exciting time filled with new possibilities and growth, but it depends on how you approach it!
A strong start can go a long way toward achieving your goals, but remember that it doesn't have to be perfect. Every failure or setback is an opportunity to learn more about what's holding you back, and every success is a step toward new heights. No matter where you are or where you've been, know there's a better way, starting with taking care of yourself.
We can stay healthy and functional when we stay mindful and aware of our internal states and build external support systems to support us when we're struggling. Take care of yourself. Create a dopamine map.
