128: Gluttony - Adolfo Constanzo and Drug Cartel Folk Saint Worship
The cult-like worship of Santa Muerte by vicious drug lords and cartels alike....using the Saint of Death for various justifications in their mind... she will protect them from having a harsh death themselves though they are literally disposing of bodies in acid, she is guidance for them when they traffic millions of dollars worth of drugs, and kill their rivals, her statue often being placed at gruesome death scenes.
Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo was an American serial killer, drug dealer and cult leader who led an infamous drug-trafficking and occult gang in Matamoros, Mexico that was dubbed the "Narcosatanists" by the media - his cult members knew him as "The Godfather"
Mark Kilroy was a pre-med student at UT Austin and was sadly abducted off the streets of Matamoros on spring break with his childhood friends. His tragic death and investigation lead to the uncovering of 13 more bodies found at Constanzo's ranch buried in shallow graves. While Mark drew authorities attention it's important to remember the names of the others eventually named....and honor the unnamed and the never reported even missing...
They deserve their stories to be told as well.
Here are the names of the other identified victims buried at the ranch along with Mark Kilroy:
Ernesto Rivas Diaz, 23
Victor Sauceda Galvan, 22
Ruben Vela Garza, 30
Gilberto Garza Sosa, early 20s
